new basement and existing house radiant system
Challenge
customer had the basement gutted and asked for new radiant main floor stayed as is but needed radiant as well. Indirect water heater requested for the new basement area.
Approach
ACHIEVE ODR FOR MULTIPLE RADIANT TEMPS AND USE THE INDIRECT AS BUFFER TANK TO AVOID BOILER SHORT CYCLE.
Solution
1) Installed reverse indirect water heater that stores up to 80 GAL of boiler water. 2) used 2 injection mixing with injection control based on ODR for each of the heating systems. 3) Boiler controlled based on temp drop of the indirect water heater/acting as buffer as well as hydraulic separation.
