Coffee with Caleffi™: Heat Transfer in Hydronic Systems
A solid understanding of heat transfer is essential for all hydronic system professionals. It guides both design and troubleshooting. John Siegenthaler, P.E., a favorite guest speaker to the Coffee with Caleffi™ webinar series, joins us for a 90 minute discussion on Thursday, July 26 at 12 noon CDT to discuss specific examples of heat transfer in the context of hydronic heating and cooling. Siegenthaler will explain the fundamental relationship between heat transfer rate, flow rate and temperature change. He will conclude with a “how to” discussion concerning modifying existing systems for low temperature operation, optimizing heat exchanger performance and avoiding common heat transfer “bottlenecks.”
A seasoned industry leader and passionate teacher, Siegenthaler shares his over 35 years’ experience in the understanding and proper application of water-based engineering principles with our audience. He is the principal of Appropriate Designs and a regular contributor to industry publications Plumbing and Mechanical, PM Engineer and HPAC magazines.
The educational webinars are always free and are intended for contractors, designers and wholesalers. A Certificate of Attendance is emailed to all attendees following the event for continuing education audits. Please visit our website at www.caleffi.com for schedule details and registration.
