Jen Anesi joins PM as new chief editor
Plumbing & Mechanical welcomes Jen Anesi as chief editor with PM’s November issue. Anesi joins PM from The Air Conditioning Heating Refrigeration News, where she was legislation editor.
“Jen brings to PM her knowledge of the legislation and government regulations that challenge plumbing and HVAC contractors on a daily basis,” BNP Media Plumbing Group Publisher Bob Miodonski said. “She also has covered other issues and industry trends in her role at The ACHR News. Along with her experience in our industry, Jen brings to PM an impressive skills set as a print and online journalist.”
Anesi’s first assignment as PM’s chief editor was to cover the annual convention of the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors — National Association Oct. 19-21 in San Antonio. She also appeared on the program of CONNECT 2016 as she presented awards to the HVAC Best Instructor and Trainer winners.
Anesi joined BNP Media in January 2013 and previously worked as editor of an online community newspaper in Troy, Mich. Anesi served in the U.S. Army National Guard as a combat medic and was based in Glendale, Ariz., where her duties included providing medical care to other soldiers and members of the local community, immunizing children and training adults in first aid.
She graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan, and is currently working on her master’s degree from Wayne State University in Detroit.
“I’m pleased and excited to make the transition to PM,” Anesi said. “I look forward to working with the other talented members of BNP’s Plumbing Group to continue to provide interesting and relevant content for our readers.”
Anesi will work closely with Associate Editor Nadia Askar and the other editors in BNP’s Plumbing Group: Supply House Times Editor Mike Miazga; PM Engineer Editor John McNally; Reeves Journal Editor Jack Sweet; and Group Online and Social Media Editor Suzette Rubio.
Anesi will be based in Michigan when she is not in the industry covering events and visiting companies. You can reach her by email and by phone 248-786-1255.
